Distribution of uniforms:
During the year 2003-04 one pair of dress was distributed the boarders.
Another of dress pair will be distributed before end of the academic
year.
Supply of books:
All titles of nationalized text books and 1,51,500 note books purchased
from APSTC were supplied to all the boarders of S.W. hostels through
the respective Mandal Educational Officers in the district.
Back to school Programme:
Under this programme, 488 children were enroled in 6 centres.
Expenditure so far is Rs.2.34 lakhs against release of Rs.7.74
lakhs.
Post matric scholarships:
So far 12,902 revalidated and fresh students were benefited in
206 colleges. There are 4,019 revalidation students. Rs.592.96
lakhs was released so far for this purpose.
Bright boys scheme:
84 boys and 62 girls students were identified. Rs.18.79 lakhs was
distributed to them in recognition of high standards of education.
Un-clean Occupation scholarships:
An amount of Rs.17.02 lakhs was released for the benefit of students
whose parents are enaged in unclean occupation. So far Rs.14.36
lakhs was paid to 1784 students.
Widow Pension:
5,440 widows are paid Rs.24.80 lakhs towards monthly pensions.
Victims of atrocities against
SC/ST :
Rs.4.25 lakhs was paid to the victims of atrocities on SCs/STs.
Community Halls:
12 community halls were sanctioned and construction is in progress.
Incentives to inter caste
married couple:
Rs.3.50 lakhs was released for couple of intercaste marriage. So
far Rs.1.50 lakhs was paid to 35 couple.
S.C.Law Graduates:
During
the year 2003-04 the District level committee
under the chairmanship of the District Collector,
Khammam has selected (3) SC Law Graduates in
the District. Under this scheme an amount of
Rs.40,000 released by the CSWP, Hyderabad for
the year 2003-04 and the amount sanctioned
to financial assistance to the (9) SC Law Graduates.
