survey and land records
QUICK SEARCH :

During the year 1961 to 1966 the D & O system of survey was taken up in Khammam, Kothagudem and Palawancha divisions and completed in 404 villages leaving a balance of 270 villages. But the final check operation are not completed, since the survey operation work kept in abeyance. The D & O system of survey was not completed in the above divisions and Telangana system of survey is in force in all mandals of the district except Bhadrachalam division comprised of (8) mandals with 568 villages.

In Khammam district, the initial survey was done during the year 1307 Fasli to 1329 Fasli. Most of the permanent records viz., Tippan, Sethwar, Wasool Baqui and other important records are in brittle and torn condition. In Telangana area, the survey work is to be taken up for every 30 years as there will be so many changes in boundaries of cultivation due to developmental activities which came into force in the recent past. But the process has not been taken up and the old records are still inforce till to day.
