FUNCTIONS
  • Over check of the implementation of supplementary Sethwars, record and annual office inspection of Mandal Revenue Officers in respect of maintenance of basic records so as to enable the Revenue Divisional Officers and Collector to enforce proper revenue administration at the Mandal and village level in keeping the survey frame work and land records intact and update as per B.S.O. 34-A.
  • Building of Sub-Division records in all maintenance items of work in the district viz., assignment, land ceiling, land acquisition (both general and house sites) and technical checking of records so built up and supervision of the work done by the survey staff.
  • Preparation of maps of special nature to suit the necessity of the district administration on various special items of work like elections, civil supplies, cyclones, drought etc.
  • Correction of survey errors in the permanent basic records and enquiry into the rectification of complicated boundary disputes under section 87 of Land Revenue Act 1317 fasli.
  • Dealing with all special items of work relating to survey as entrusted by the Collector or other higher authorities.

Surveyors and Dy. Surveyors have been posted to (46) Revenue Mandals of this district. Their salaries are being paid at mandal level and they have to submit their tour diaries and survey records to the Asst. Director through the Mandal Revenue Officers concerned in the review meeting on every 1st of the month.
