JURISDICTION
OF N.S.L.C. (O & M) CIRCLE, TEKULAPALLY, KHAMMAM.
This Circle is in charge of monitoring of
entire N.S. Left Main Canal from Head Regulator to
tailend and water regulation in blocks 14 and 15 of
Zone.I area, blocks 17 to 20 and 21/1 to 21/7 of Zone.II
area and blocks 21/8, 21/9, 21/10A, 21/10B and 21/11
of Zone. III area. The total irrigation potential
created in the jurisdiction of this circle is 5,30,138
Acres in 42 mandals of 4 districts.
AYACUT IN KHAMMAM DISTRICT
The ayacut in Khammam District under N.S.Left
Canal system is sprawling in 251 villages of 16 Mandals
under 5 Legislative Assembly Constituencies, namely,
Palair, Khammam, Sujathanagar, Madhira and Sathupally
Assembly Constituencies. In addition, Hydrological
Clearance was accorded for 19 Lift Irrigation Schemes
on N.S. Left Canal system and 2 Lift Irrigation Schemes
in the foreshore of Palair balancing reservoir. Out
of the 21 L.I. Schemes, 17 schemes were executed and
commissioned by the A.P.S.I.D.C. Ltd. and handed over
to Beneficiaries Committies for maintenance. Zone-wise
