The Andhra Pradesh Northern Power Distribution Limited, Khammam is a circle under the control of Superintending Engineer. This district consists of three Operation Divisions, 12 Sub –Divisions and 42 Sections. The Divisional Engineer is the in charge of the Division, Asst. Divisional Engineer is the in charge of the Sub Division and Asst. Engineer is the in charge of the Section. Total Engineering Staff is 154, Provincial staff 382 and Operation and Maintenance staff is 972.

The Operation Circle, Khammam is having three220/132 KV Sub-stations, six 132/33 K V Sub Stations and sixty five 33/11 K V Sub-stations. The 220 K V and 132 K V Sub-stations are under the control of AP TRANSCO and the 33/11 K V Sub-stations are directly under the control of APNPDL. There is a very good co-operation between both the companies regarding Transmission and Distribution of power.
